Trisha is acting a publicity film for PETA, People for Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Apart from acting in films, Trisha is also involved in social work.
Trisha is very fond of animals, especially dogs. She has a pet dog too. In this ad, Trisha is to wear a white robe, like an angel, hold a pup in her arms and talk about abstaining from cruelty towards animals. The shoot will take place day after tomorrow.
Says Trisha: “I’m generally fond of animals. A few years back, I had gone to Hyderabad for shooting. As I was driving back to the hotel from shooting, I saw a seriously injured dog lying on the road, fighting for its life. I immediately took the dog to the Blue Cross.
After it was administered first aid, it was better, but I did not have the heart to leave the dog behind and brought it to Chennai where it lives with me. The dog is now 6 years old. Maybe PETA is aware of this incident and approached me to do this ad. Whatever it is, I’m very happy to agree to this assignment”.
Popular Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and John Abraham are already ambassadors for PETA.
